I know I am still with you
in your prayers, your thoughts, your heart
And though you cannot see me,

of life's sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect
on how, though things are different,

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

Nan

I know I shouldn’t cry Nan,

I know you’re watching from above,

But it’s really hard to fight the tears

When you lose someone you love.

It’s hard to say goodbye Nan,

Although I know you’re now at peace,

I can’t help being selfish

And wishing you could still be here.

I know I shouldn’t cry Nan,

And I know what you would say,

Don’t be crying over me ,

You know I’m never far away.

So I think of all the good times,

All the things you’d say and do,

My tears run dry and then I smile,

Nan there’s no one quite like you.

I think of all the tales you told,

How you’d take me back in time.

Through love and war and family

Your memories came to life.

You were always there for all of us,

You watched us grow and make mistakes,

And even though you told us so,

We know you loved us all the same.

I know that you’ll be happy now

In that new house You have made.

And I know you’ll move it all around

Again and again and again.

We know we shouldn’t cry Nan,

But we know you’ll understand.

You always did and we’re all so proud,
